Teachers: Do you have favourite songs and activities that you’ve used in your classroom?
ESL Students: Do you have a favourite song that has helped you to understand English grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation better?
We would love to hear from you!

We are launching a collaborative project that encourages teachers and students alike to share their materials on a collaborative pinboard on Padlet.

Guidelines
If your materials are self-made, you can upload your worksheet, lesson plan or activity directly to the Padlet pinboard. Add © + Your name.
If your materials have been sourced from another author, please provide a link to where you discovered it, and give credit to the original author.
For example: this worksheet was discovered on the ISL Collective website, and the author is Péter László. Therefore: © Péter László, www.en.islcollective.com
It is advisable that you create a Padlet account for yourself (it’s free), so that you are acknowledged as the contributor and/or author.
Be sure to include the grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation focus in the title of your post.
A Good Example of a Post
An example of good typical post would read as follows:
Adjectives (title & grammar focus)
Mad World by Gary Jules (song title, artist) Online listening activity based on the music video (activity description)
© darkangel, www.lyricstraining.com (author, website)
A Few More Pointers:
Check out the post “List of Songs by Category” on the Padlet pinboard. You’ll find a couple of examples of songs that you may want to make use of to create a contribution of your own, which you can post.
Contributions will be collated and categorized into a handy booklet, and a copy emailed to all contributors.
Try to make your contributions original and creative! For inspiration: check out the blog or post “Templates for Song Worksheets & Activities” on the Padlet pinboard. Email teacherdianaonline@gmail.com to request an editable version in MS Word format.
Masters in Education

Some of this will form part of my research for my MEd (Masters in Education) dissertation. The focus of this dissertation is “The Use of Music & Songs as a Tool in Language Acquisition”.
Your contributions would be greatly appreciated, and you will be acknowledged accordingly.
Note
Yes, there certainly are ways you could make a little bit of cash from your self-made materials. You can learn how to do this ethically, and without infringing on copyrighted materials etc. in the interactive Teacher Workshops I offer online. For more information, send me an email, or visit this blog post.
Personally, I prefer a balance between the two – I offer some of my materials for a small fee, but I also upload loads of free materials for other educators to make use of in their classrooms, if they do so wish. Sharing is caring!
