This is one of those tracks where you can’t help but tap your feet.

For my fellow teachers, you can download a worksheet based on this song here.

Sometimes, we all need our gang of weirdos, artists, alternative thinkers!

The next three tracks are for late night/early morning musings.

Gotta love these two talents!

Listen out for the vibrato in this incredible artist’s voice, it’s absolutely stunning! Be sure to check out her Live Sessions.

I don’t know how many ‘metal heads’ you’ve met in your lives before, but I found that the majority are really kind, gentle spirits, despite a sometimes little ‘scary’ outer appearance.

Another beautiful track and lovely music video, too.

This band is very inspirational, and their music is worth paying attention to.

These two British artists have become a firm favourite. Take a listen and you’ll see why. Super-talented, beautiful tracks, which display sheer artistry.

A firm favourite, particularly with some of my besties, whom I’ve known since I was a teenager. The saying, “It’s an Editors sort of evening” usually requires us all to buy a bottle of wine, and gather together for a good chat, despite physically being in all different corners of the world.

Slightly more ‘poppie’ than most of my other picks, I still appreciate these guys. Interesting music video for Capital Cities. See the full Kahlil Gibran poem Joy & Sorrow here.

Being a night owl sometimes has its draw backs, but I love those quite late nights and early mornings – it’s when I get most of my work done.

Also one of my favourite bands. They reorchestrated a lot of their music and made a feature film about this Bastille: Reorchestrated.

Another song you can’t help but tap your feet to.

A very talented artist, and really pleasant to look at…lol.

These three tracks are my ‘power-walking’ tracks.

Another two talented artists from Canada.

An interesting music video accompanies this pick.

Also power-walking tracks.

For slightly more introspective moments.

Had to stick in an SA choice :)

Little-known, but super-talented band.

He was originally a member from 80s band Adam & the Ants.

A must-watch video!
