We’ve launched our Coffee & Culture Club!

Overview
A topic is selected for each ‘session’. Please note: this is a far more informal way of doing things, as opposed to the traditional classroom setting. Participants do a little of their own research ahead of class. Then, we arrange a meeting time (most likely conducted via Zoom, Telegram or Facebook).
The elected leader/moderator directs and manages discussions. This role can be conducted by anyone willing to take on the responsibility…* We may want to include supplementary exercises and worksheets that link to the topic of discussion. The group leader will need to find hard copies of the original materials (e.g. pdf, movie links etc.)
We choose interesting and relevant topics to discuss, which include subjects such as:

Aliens
Art
Censorship
Depression
Family
Love
Money
Movies
Prison
Superheroes
War
In addition to this, we for those who would like to attend these sessions on a more long-term basis, we select, for example, a book with its accompanying movie to read, watch and discuss. We could do various smaller activities based around the specific book, movie, play, song, band, artist, TV programme etc.
Initial suggestions might include materials, such as:

Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk (also the movie)
Matilda by Roald Dahl (also the movie)
Rita Hayworth & The Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King (also the movie)
A New Word by Eckhart Tolle
Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind
Other recommendations and suggestions are welcomed! Pop me a line here.

Everybody from all walks of life is welcome to attend. Discussions can be as light-hearted or serious as deemed necessary, as long as all discussions are conducted in a respectful manner, that's all. Stick to Twitter if you want to blast at others, please.
